Editing the sweep retunes the VNA itself before capturing. Leave it alone to read the sweep already on screen. The sweep is paused during the read and resumed after.

A calibration is only valid for the span it was made on, so set it here first — this is the range the result will cover. OPEN, SHORT and LOAD are always measured; THRU is optional and only needed for S21.

Starting erases the calibration currently in working state. Your saved preset slots are not touched — recalling one restores its calibration. Nothing is written to a slot unless you choose to at the end.

Keep in working state only Nothing is written to your slots. The calibration is lost at the next preset recall or power-off. Save to a preset slot Overwrites whatever that slot holds now — permanently.
